Ride
The Gorge.
80 miles from Las Vegas. Where the Mojave meets the Virgin River canyon. Get on a machine and ride into some of the most spectacular desert terrain in the Southwest.
Why Mesquite
Hits Different.
Terrain No One Expects
Mojave desert hardpack meets red sandstone canyon walls. The Virgin River Gorge corridor is geology you ride through — not a pullout you photograph from.
Southwest Base Camp
80 miles from Las Vegas. 35 minutes from St. George. 90 minutes from Coral Pink Sand Dunes. More terrain variety in two days than most manage in a week.
Desert-Ready Fleet
Maintained for desert conditions — heat, dust, and the soft sand washes that make Mojave riding its own discipline. Helmet and gear included.
Three kinds of
terrain.All spectacular.
Gorge
Vertical sandstone faces, narrow canyon sections, and canyon walls that change color from terra cotta red to deep purple depending on the light.
Desert
Long sight lines, high-speed hardpack, desert wash crossings, bajada slopes. Total space. Wildlife active in the early morning.
Day Trips
Coral Pink Sand Dunes 90 minutes north. Totally different terrain — pink dune faces versus red desert hardpack. Worth the drive.
Mesquite is your
Southwest
base camp.
Sitting 80 miles from Las Vegas and 35 minutes from St. George, Mesquite is the most convenient OHV base in the region. A few days here covers more terrain variety than most week-long trips anywhere else.
Start Before
The Sun Wins.
"Mesquite is a hot place in summer. Not uncomfortable-at-the-pool hot — genuinely challenging for outdoor exertion. Start at sunrise. The desert morning is quiet, cool, and absolutely beautiful. By 10am in July it's getting warm. Plan around it and you'll have a perfect day."
